Just One Of Those Days

Have you ever had a day where it feels like nothing goes right? Well today was one of those kind of days for my mom and I. The kind of day where you feel like everything is fast paced and you can't keep up. The type of day that you feel like you're the only one with something wrong while everyone else's day is wonderful. In times like these it's far too easy to feel discouraged.
I sent a text to my brother and thought I would share it with you in this little space of my own.

From my brother "I hope your day went well. :)"

My text: "Thanks, It's been a horrible day. haha Dad's car needs to go in because it sounds like the exhaust is so loud but mom took the jeep in because the air bag light kept coming on and they said $500 to $1000 depending on once they opened it up. It would be one of two problems. Mom said to hold off because Dad's car needed to come in. They asked about doing an oil change and found out it needs back brakes, rotors, two tires which would be $500 and some dollars. Just called after taking off rotors. Found leak that now adds $226 more dollars and Dad's needs to go in still. What a day! Never seem to be able to catch up."

The phone wouldn't stop ringing and so many other things were going on throughout the day that it was just one of those days.

In life we go through things and at times it feels like nothing goes right. I am so thankful to be surrounded by a loving family who is always there to encourage and be there for me and friends that I can just go to and share.  I know that no matter what Jesus will get us through anything. That is a promise.
I had two songs going around my head throughout the day and felt encouraged.
Forever Reign by One Sonic Society and Everybody has those days by Jessa Anderson. We sang Forever Reign this past week at church and it's one of my favorites. :)

So if you're having one of those days, know that you aren't alone and you'll get through it. :)

  1. I have those days a lot so I can totally relate. But know that God is always with you Hannah, and will get you through things. :)

  2. I completely understand what you mean by having "one of those days". I've had quite a few of them myself. I hope you know you are surrounded by many people who appreciate you and love you for who you are, and would be glad to listen if you need someone to vent to. <3 Just try to remember Jesus is always there. :)
Take a moment and just breathe. Cuddle your favorite person, or stuffed animal or blanket if you're a cuddly person, and listen to some calming music. :) It always helps me.

  3. Thank you both so much for your sweet words of encouragement. I look back on today and see God's hand upon it. He always brings me closer to Him through my trials. :)

  4. Thanks for the reminder, Hannah! I had one of "those days" on Monday, and sometimes I just need to step back and see the big picture. We really are super blessed.

  5. Yes. This was me for most of last week. I understand what you're going through. I'm glad that you have such a good perspective on it! I'll be praying.

    Hugs,
