august loves

long skype chats, late night laughter and messages with Sarah, fresh new magazines in the mail, letters and packages waiting to be opened, realizing how much people care, and having them always there for you, starbucks runs with my mom, sharing what's on my heart, learning it's okay,  i don't need everything just so, all the mixed in ramblings are okay too. photography is a learning process, and i should be enjoying every moment of it.

truly blessed

I sit here tonight, so thankful and truly blessed. I honestly can't put it into words , when I think about how many friendships blogger has given me. Ones that I am dearly thankful to call some of my closest friends. Having a blog, and meeting others through comments and links , you'd really be surprised with just what you may find. I can think of so many people who someday, I'll have the blessing of meeting "in person". I know there are people out there who simply can't even begin to understand why someone would even think of meeting up with someone they had never seen in person before, but I think all of us bloggers can truly understand, that meeting another "blogger friend" is one of our dreams. I had the opportunity to meet two sisters who are so dear to my heart, in June. To think that actually happened, is just amazing. I'm looking forward to meeting others that I've read their blogs, or exchanged letters with someday. I hope next year will hold lots of travel, not only a trip when I graduate, but also meetings with some of my best friends. I hope to head out to a retreat also, so saving money must begin soon. :)

This week much love arrived in the mailbox, and I am so touched to call these people, friends.

My First Vlog & Room Tour Video

For the longest time I've wanted to put up a vlog but haven't gotten around to it until now. Some of my faraway friends have wanted to see my room so I thought it would be fun to make a room tour video. When I made this video last Saturday, I didn't realize how long editing and uploading would take. After many hours of editing and uploading issues,  I give you my first ever Youtube video. Please excuse all the mistakes and new edits on the video. Since this was my first video I've edited,  I'm just getting the hang of it. Along with a couple parts I had to retake: I didn't realize my address was showing when I opened up my letter box. :)   I hope you enjoy watching and I'd love to hear your feedback. :)

• and relaxing on a sunday afternoon last weekend. 

it's hard to believe summer is nearly over, and the weather is turning to chilly nights and soft breezes. i'm looking forward to riding my bike along ~ side the pond and taking long walks again. i'm looking forward to the fall days ahead, and partly getting a routine started again. though i am dearly sad to see summer ending so abruptly. before i know it, classes will resume and free time won't be so free. i am determined to enjoy this final month of summer and try to be somewhat lazy ;) june and july were filled with much and i'm hoping august will slow down, i don't have many plans at the moment so hopefully, these days can be spent swimming, relaxing, and reading a few books before school begins once again. 

Post Office Surprises

Every afternoon when I walk out the door to check the mail, I head out with anticipation of something waiting for me. I know dear sweet people all over the world who send me lovelies in the mail. Keeping the art of snail mail alive is something I'm happy to be apart of. Blogger opened so many wonderful friendships that I'm so thankful for and I couldn't imagine life without all my dear friends. Here's a peek at this mornings trip to the post office. :)
